EXCITEMENT is building and prospective buyers can look forward to an earlier start than normal when Australian Pacing Gold’s Sydney Sale begins at the Inglis Riverside Stables at Warwick Farm on Sunday.
The first Lots at this year’s sale are expected to sell fast as bidding begins at 10am.
And there’s added incentive this year with Club Menangle offering buyers something extra when they race their yearling.
The club has pledged a $25,000 cash bonus to the first ‘local’ home in each of the fillies’ as well as the colts and geldings’ divisions of APG’s Gold Bullion in 2021.
The condition is that the horse has to be bred, foaled, branded and sold in that particular state.
Club Menangle Directors Robert Marshall and Bill Ellis, who are also the club’s nominated Directors on the APG Board, will be in attendance to extol the virtues of the New South Wales product.
Even though this has been an extremely challenging year for vendors, given the dreadful drought, its’ impact has been significant – and seldom seen on such a scale!
Yet the quality of the horses in the catalogue is outstanding.
It seems vendors and those preparing the youngsters for sale have much to be proud of and buyers will see that on Sunday.
Club Menangle chief executive Bruce Christison explained the club was delighted to be in a position to support the NSW harness racing industry by offering the bonus payments.
“The Club extends its hope for a successful outcome to vendors and purchasers . . . good luck to all,” Christison said.
