3IF YOU’RE looking for a youngster which is bred to shine, then this yearling fits the bill.

Part of Australian Pacing Gold’s Melbourne Sale, the colt will enter the ring as Lot 67 and is bound to attract plenty of attention.

By well-performed stallion American Ideal, the handsome brown is from broodmare gem Alldatglittersisgold, which boasts five winners from six starters.

As such, he is a half-brother to Miracle Mile winner Baby Bling and a brother to multiple Group One winner Bling It On, which was impressive winning at Tabcorp Park Menangle in 1:56.3 during the weekend.

Trained and driven by John McCarthy, Bling It On was first-up since his luckless fourth in the Perth Inter Dominion – won by APG graduate Smolda – on December 9.

Pleased with the six-year-old’s performance, McCarthy will take Bling It On south of the border for next week’s Victoria Cup at Melton.

Bling It On’s latest success stretched his record to 41 wins and 16 placings from 72 starts for earnings of $1,248,331, so it’s easy to see why his baby brother will be the centre of some keen bidding on Sunday, February 5.
