A favorable draw may give Beyond Belief the edge on her rivals over 1700m from the mobile gate in the Prydes Easifeed Mobile Pace at Forbury Park on Thursday night.

Beyond Belief was a winner over 2200m (mobile) at Forbury Park three starts back after trailing the leader. The Paul Court-trained 4yr-old had won her previous start at Ascot Park in a 1.57.3 mile rate for 1700m(mobile). She has since had a second and a seventh at Addington. Beyond Belief(c3) has drawn two.

Four Starzzz Shiraz and Fleeting Grin are c5 pacers in the field racing for new trainers. Four Starzzz Shiraz joined the stable of Graeme Anderson on the eve of finishing second to Lightning Mach at Forbury Park last Thursday. Fleeting Grin was claimed for $7500 by Waimate trainer Craig Kennett after finishing third to Jerry Fitz and Caesar Rocks at Forbury Park on May 11.

Four Starzzz Flash, the winner of five races was formerly trained by Amberley part-owner, Kevin Chapman. Fleeting Grin has won twice at Ascot Park in his last four starts for Andrew Armour.

The Anderson-trained Elusive Flight is the in-form horse for race 10, the Ricoh Mobile Pace. The 7yr-old had his second win in four starts since joining Anderson with success in a 2.00.3 mile rate for 2000m (mobile) in cold conditions at Oamaru on Sunday.

Ossessione, who resumed from a three month break with a win at Forbury Park last week could test Elusive Flight.

Winners Shout, a dashing winner at Forbury Park three starts back, should have the measure of the opposition in The Park Function and Events Centre Trot. The 3yr-old in the Phil Williamson stable ran fourth in the Yearling Sales Trot at Addington last Saturday.

New Years Jay has been transferred to the Clevedon stable of Barry Purdon to wind up her racing days.

“There is no opportunities for her now in the South Island and she is going to stud this year,’’ said Brian Anderton, her North Taieri owner with the Estate of Bryan Kennedy.

It is planned to mate her with Bettor’s Delight. New Years Jay, who ran fourth in the Winter Cup at Addington last Saturday, won seven races and took a mile record of 1.54.6 at Ashburton when trained by Amber Hoffman and Jonny Cox at Westwood.

The 8yr-old daughter of Washington VC – Jay’s Glen has been minor placed in seven of her 11 starts this season. Delightful Jay, a 3yr-old half sister by Bettor’s Delight to New Years Jay, qualified at Ascot Park on May 11 from the Hoffman stable.
