Horsewoman Belinda McCarthy put her name forward as one of the trainers with leading hopes in this year’s Inter Dominion series currently taking place in Victoria.
McCarthy’s pacer Spirit Of St Louis was successful in his heat at Shepparton on Tuesday night, adding to the placings McCarthy has already secured with Expensive Ego and A Gs White Socks in the series.
Expensive Ego has finished second in both of his heats and is currently the favourite to win the Inter Dominion Pacing Championship.
Despite campaigning interstate, McCarthy still has a strong team racing on home soil including Mufasa Bart that faces a heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge Regional series at Penrith tonight.
The colt is a half-brother to talented juvenile Captain Ravishing.
