The barrier draw has once again thrown the G1 Garrard’s Queensland Pacing Championship wide open.
Last week’s Gold Coast Cup winner Bling It On has drawn gate 10 on the second row for team McCarthy with Emma Stewart’s Victorian star Philadelphia Man drawing (7) on the outside of the front row.
Qld Horse of the Year Avonnova’s barrier hoodoo continued with the Ian Gurney trained free-legged star drawing the extreme outside of the second row (12).
Grant Dixon’s Alleluia (4) and Gurney’s Our Hi Jinx (3) came up with the best draws of the favoured runners. John McCarthy’s NSW visitor Monfieth who was balloted in last week’s G1 has drawn gate 5.
The QPC, the first leg of the Grand Circuit will be raced on Saturday night over 2680 metres at Albion Park
