SUNDAY’S Australian Pacing Gold Sale could be an omen for those looking to purchase a yearling by leading stallion Mr Feelgood.
The first pacer to win Group Ones on both sides of the equator, Mr Feelgood’s biggest success came in the 2009 Inter Dominion.
That was the year the prestigious Championship was conducted in Queensland – which doubles as this weekend’s APG Labrokes Yearling Sale location.
To be more precise, the 70 lots will enter the ring at Albion Park Raceway.
As for Mr Feelgood, he will be represented by 10 colts and eight fillies, with each from families littered with winners.
With his stock racing in sensational form this season, Mr Feelgood’s offerings are destined to be in demand.
As of today’s Harness Racing Australia figures, Mr Feelgood is equal leading two-year-old sire with Art Major, Bettors Delight and Shadow Play on winners this season.
The difference is the strike rate, with Mr Feelgood’s winners coming from eight starters, with the other three ranging between 11 and 24 starters!
Mr Feelgood’s winners-to-starters strike rate is 75 per cent, with his closest rival among the leaders at 54.5 per cent.
