BB3Are Super Sunday afternoon meetings a thing of the past?

Following West Australia’s announcement last week that the inter-dominion Grand Final will revert back to Gloucester Park’s traditional Friday night comes the announcement from Harness Racing NSW that their showpiece the Miracle Mile will be run on a Saturday night.

This leaves just the Breeders Crown on the last week in August as the only Sunday afternoon feature meeting, however HarnessBred.com believes that HRSA is looking closely at conducting their Southern Cross Final on a Sunday if they can come to an agreement with SKY Channel.

HRNSW also announced that the qualifying lead up races will be run a week later.

HRNSW has also announced that a new policy for two-year-olds that will  take effect from the commencement of the 2016/17 Racing Season.  The policy was developed through a series of submissions and consultative electronic surveys to enhance strengthen and guarantee the racing opportunities of two-year-old pacers in NSW.

Submissions were received from industry stakeholders in July and October last year culminating in an electronic survey in January
