A FAVOURABLE draw combined with strong form has Redbank Addi’s connections high on confidence going into Saturday night’s Newcastle Oaks.
Winner of her last three starts, the Australian Pacing Gold purchase will begin from barrier three for trainer KerryAnn Turner.
Adding to the filly’s prospects is her main dangers have drawn on her outside.
Chevrons Reward will come from gate four, while Black Silhouette faces a tough task as the widest runner along the front row.
“I couldn’t be happier with the way she is going,” Turner said. “She has won three on the bounce and is feeling pretty happy with herself.
“She has pulled up great from Bathurst last Friday and is ready to go again.
“Three is a good alley for her, and with some of the better ones outsider her, we’ll see how it unfolds.”
With the Breeders’ Challenge Redbank Addi’s primary target this season, Turner will continue to select suitable races for the daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven leading into the series.
Heats of the futurity are scheduled to start at Wagga on May 29, with the Group One Final set down for July 1 at Tabcorp Park Menangle.
