Champion Victorian reinsman Chris Alford has equalled Daryl Douglas’ record of the fastest century of winners in an Australasian harness racing season.

Alford tied Douglas’ record on Sunday 26 November at Cranbourne with his win on the Gary Quinlan trained Misty Cullen, nine years to the day since Daryl eclipsed the previous record held by Kerryn Manning.

Alford, the reigning Australian Driving Champion and eleven time J.D. Watts Award Winner has now driven a remarkable 25 successive seasons of a hundred winners. He is well on track to surpass his personal best season of 2011/12 in which he drove 336 winners.

With his first winner on Spring Vance in 1984, Chris has now driven 6,229 winners and there are no signs of him slowing down!
