Menangle Park horseman Rickie Alchin will chase his first major feature for the year at Menangle this Saturday night.
Alchin has a dual-pronged attack in the $50,000 Simpson Memorial with his three-year-olds Haveyoucheckedin and Montalbano.
Haveyoucheckedin is a last-start winner and has only had two starts in Alchin’s care while Montalbano showed plenty of promise in his debut season winning four races.
Also taking part in that feature is young reinsman Will Rixon who will drive Merrywood Tony.
Rixon will drive that pacer at Penrith tonight in race one.
Rixon has three drives across the program, ready to add to the six winners he has obtained this year.
