Breeder Alison Stevens (82) had a unique treble on Friday night at BOTRA’s Battlers Night held at Globe Derby Park.
No Alison didn’t breed a treble of winners!, but she did breed three runners in race 5 on the program the Virginia Meats Trotters Handicap.
Alison bred Wroxton Cruiser a 2011 mare by Great Success from Red Feathers finished seventh her full brother DrintousWroxton finished ninth and the unlucky runner of the trio Wroxton Balboa which trotted away perfectly from the standing start and was running second at the winning post the first time before Nothingmuch which had dumped driver Darren Billinger on the first turn decided to take out the the two horses in front of it, one being Wroxton Balboa.
Mrs Stevens who has been breeding for many years has the name Wroxton in all her horses.
