NSW breeders rolled, peppered and challenged.
While the majority of harness racing in Australia stood stunned by the All-Stars phenomena claiming $780,000 and 4 out of 5 Group1 races on miracle mile day, NSW breeders were rattled even further with news that they will lose three premier stallions – Roll With Joe, Rock n Roll Heaven and Sportswriter.
Apart from Rob Nalder, we haven’t heard BOO from HRNSW, Harness Breeders NSW, Bred in the Blue or any supposed leading organisation claiming to represent the interests of breeders in NSW.
Is anyone interested in breeding in NSW or is the end nigh?
At the very least, let’s hope that we get a genuine response soon that discusses ramifications and new plans to grow breeding in NSW.
In other news, the Vicbred bonus has been extended to 5yo+ with further prizemoney lifted.
