New South Wales Minister for Racing Troy Grant has announced the appointment of a new Board Member for HRNSW. Mr Chris Edwards has been appointed filling a vacancy and will return to the board, bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge.
HRNSW Chairman Rex Horne acknowledged the experience Mr Edwards will bring on his return to the Board.
“Through the long ordeal of filling the vacancy, it was appropriate when the opportunity to nominate a Board Member became available that Chris Edwards was the logical person,” Mr Horne said.
“Chris has served the industry diligently for six years and we know that he will continue in this vein during the next two years.
“I must say through the comments made during my travels around New South Wales that Chris’s appointment will be well received by the industry.”
The nomination and appointment of Mr Edwards was as a consequence of the recent resignation of Mr Grant Mayer, due to his business commitments interstate.
