Harness Racing New South Wales extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Joe Cordina after the passing of the respected breeder, owner and sponsor.
Aged 91, Joe Cordina was a long-term supporter of harness racing through the sponsorship of the Cordina Ladyship Mile at Harold Park and in more recent years the Cordina Sprint, an important lead-up race to the Miracle Mile. Mr Cordina also enjoyed the breeding aspect of the harness racing industry and raced a number of horses including the talented mare, Ashlees Babe, a multiple group one winner.
The funeral details for Mr Cordina will be announced once finalised.
