Hunter-based horseman Mark Callaghan is sending a team west to Bathurst tonight.
Callaghan, who races most of team at Newcastle, has two starters at the Gold Crown Paceway with pacer Glenn Ford the first to step out in his colours in race two.
Glenn Ford will be driven by Callaghan’s son Tom.
The 16-year-old reinsman began driving last season and has 11 wins to his credit.
Callaghan will take the reins on his other starter, Cut Glass, in race three.
Facing a heat of the Waratah Series with an invitation to a final at Menangle on the line, Cut Glass has won three races since arriving in Australia last year.
Callaghan recently reached 600 wins as a driver having been active since the 1993/94 season.
He has trained 448 winners.
