Following a strong Victorian campaign horseman trainer Jason Grimson is ready to take it up a notch with his team on home soil.
Grimson returned to his Menangle base a fortnight ago in preparation for the Sky Racing Carnival of Miracles.
The 29-year-old started strongly on night one with promising pacer Betterzipit extending his unbeaten record in Grimson’s care and Tay Tay finishing second in the Robin Dundee Stakes at Menangle last Saturday night.
Both pacers will feature at Menangle this Saturday night along with some of Grimson’s other stars, including Inter Dominion winner I Cast No Shadow as well as Cranbourne and Bendigo Cup winner Major Meister.
Both I Cast No Shadow and Major Meister will be aiming to qualify for the $1million Miracle Mile on March 4.
Before then, Grimson will debut Princess Leia at Menangle today.
The former New Zealand mare will go around in race four for owner Brittany Graham.
