Honouring the tourist attraction, Parkes HRC has the Elvis Championship tonight where one of last season’s leading trainers in Bernie Hewitt has one of the main fancies with Taylors Four.
Miracle Mile-winning driver Mat Rue has two starters in the feature with Mighty Atom and Vanish Hanover and they will be driven by Justin Reynolds and Madi Young, respectively.
Rue experienced his best season yet as a trainer last year ending the term with 48 winners.
It was a big year for Rue in the sulky too and even though the 60 winners he drove was not a personal best season, the 33-year-old reached 1000 career winners.
Absent from driving tonight, Rue has six starters across the program.
