Menangle Park horseman Cameron Ross was beaming at Menangle on Saturday night after qualifying two of his horses for the upcoming NSW Breeders Challenge Finals.
Ross’ filly Peaceful made her way into the $150,000 two-year-old final when forced to do it tough outside the leader in Australasian record time.
Peaceful finished second to Major Delight when they clocked 1:50.5 and has drawn barrier one for the final.
Ross’ mare Machs Legacy qualified for the four-year-old mares final on October 29 when second to Tay Tay in the heat.
Ross had the third pick of barrier draws for the final and selected inside the second row, barrier nine.
“She went good tonight and they are probably going to break 50 (in the final) so that’s the spot to be on the fence,” said Ross.
Ross has Brevity racing at Menangle today.
