Horseman Jack Trainor extended his lead in the Metropolitan Drivers’ Premiership with a double at Menangle on Saturday night.
Trainor went into the meeting one win ahead of fellow driver Cameron Hart and secured his first win on the night with Blue Chip Delight, a pacer having his second start for Trainor’s stable.
Trainor then prepared the quinella in the Group 3 Norms Daughter Ladyship Stakes with Braeview Kelly and Town Echo.
Braeview Kelly rated a personal best 1:50.9 and has now won four of her five Australian starts.
Trainor has 30 metropolitan victories to his credit while Hart has 28 after winning on Saturday night with the trotter Regal Attire.
Hart, however, leads the NSW Drivers’ Premiership with 135 wins this year in the state.
Horsewoman KerryAnn Morris has the top spot in the NSW Trainers’ Premiership and her success with Port Au Prince at Menangle on Saturday night gave her 101 winners for the season.
Morris heads to Newcastle today with five runners.
