Valmagne is an anchor bet on a six-race programme at Forbury Park on Friday night.
The 8yr-old trotter became eligible for the 2700m race through dropping back in assessment to C4. He is off 30m but that should not be a problem against nine rivals.
Valmagne has not won a race in 10 starts this season but he has run some excellent placings in stronger company.
He ran second to Zachary Binx in the Banks Peninsula Cup; second last start to Waterloo Sunset at Addington and third to Pegasus Dream and Monty Python in a track record run 3200m of 4.08.6 at Forbury Park last month.
The winner of eight races, Valmagne is back on the track where he won his first race in 2013.
Queen Kenny, the drive of Dexter Dunn, hinted at a return to winning form when second last time out at Invercargill. She is in receipt of 20m from Valmagne in the handicap.
Tintinara, a Dunn drive, will be at cramped odds in a c2-3 mobile 2200m.
Trained in Christchurch by Steve Dolan, Tintinara has not raced since July but she has won workouts at Ashburton and Methven in recent weeks. She has draw the pole. Tintinara has won over a mile in 1.57.
The Macca Slaccas syndicate had a quick winning return at Forbury Park after leasing Deceitndesire last month. The Tony Stratford –trained mare is capable of a bold race in race 1. Em Ay, the winner of two races, one at Forbury Park, could be the stumbling block for Deceitndesire.
Live To Tell, a stablemate of Em Ay with Bruce Negus at Burnham, is in contention for the 1200m heat of the Sprint Series. Hudson Sully, winner of the final of a sprint series at Fobury Park in May in 1.26.2, has to be respected from barrier one.
