Star West Australian pacer Mighty Ronaldo kicked off his eastern campaign at Menangle on the right note.
The $351,196 earner had his first look at the spacious track in a trial yesterday that he won in personal best time.
The Justin Prentice-prepared pacer clocked a mile rate in one minute and 51.7 seconds, more than two seconds faster than his best winning time.
The four-year-old gelding is being aimed at the $210,000 Australian Pacing Gold Final at Menangle on May 7.
Mighty Ronaldo won his APG heat at Gloucester Park on April 5 and has not raced since.
During his Sydney stay Might Ronaldo will be stabled at Luke McCarthy’s property.
“He’s eating well and seems well in himself,” said Prentice.
