28 April 2022 | Club Menangle

Throughout the month of May, Club Menangle will be turning Pink in support of the Pacing For Pink campaign, which aims to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation.

The campaign, which was initially founded in Victoria, has grown to be Australia wide this year, with Club Menangle coming on board to support Pacing For Pink.

Marg Watson, Pacing For Pink Coordinator, said, “Having all the states come on board this year is exciting, especially with so many drivers and sponsors in NSW.

Club Menangle’s support blows us away. It is unbelievable what you are doing.”

Club Menangle will hold nine race meetings throughout May and has committed to donating the following to Pacing For Pink-

  • $200.00 for each win recorded by a driver in the Pink Pants at Club Menangle
  • $200.00 for each female training win recorded at Club Menangle
  • $200.00 for each win that is recorded by a horse carrying saddlecloth Number 8 at Club Menangle

CEO of Club Menangle Bruce Christison said, “Club Menangle is excited to participate in the 2022 Pacing For Pink campaign.

Our Club has previously worked directly with the McGrath Foundation; however, we believe that by the Harness Racing industry working together, we can make a significant difference in awareness and fundraising.”

On Tuesday, 24 May, Club Menangle Trackside will host our inaugural Pacing For Pink High Tea to coincide with our afternoon race meeting. Tickets are $55.00, with a percentage of each ticket sold going to Pacing For Pink. Race sponsorship packages are also available.

The Menangle Park stable of KerryAnn and Robert Morris have jumped onboard the Pacing For Pink campaign as strong supporters with their Lucky Lodge team, including Josh Gallagher and Aleisha Bond donning the pink pants.

KerryAnn said, “I think it is a great concept, and we are looking forward to being involved.”

While Robert said, “It is close to our heart at the moment, and even without that, I think it is a great cause. Hopefully, we can raise a fair bit of money for a charity that thoroughly deserves it.”

Tickets are now on sale for the Pacing For Pink High Tea. Please visit clubmenangle.com.au for more information.
