HARNESS racing trainer Michael Formosa has two more chances of qualifying horses for the Breeders Challenge semi finals.
Formosa has a starter engaged in both heats at Newcastle tonight starting with new stable prospect Stellina in the fillies Breeders Challenge qualifier.
His other starter is his consistent three-year-old Pops boy that has drawn pole position in the colts and geldings heat.
Meanwhile, there are more Breeders Challenge heats at Riverina Paceway today.
This will see the likes of in-form pacers The Stain and Hez Dusty aim to qualify for the semi finals at Menangle next week.
The Breeders Challenge series ramps up this week with the semi finals for the two-year-old pacers at Menangle on Saturday night.
Talented types My Ultimate Byron, Smaltese, Madrid and Captains Queen all look dominate in their respective semi finals.
The iForm team have put together the best bets for today’s meetings:
Newcastle best bet
Race 9: Ghostly Silence (10)
Was most unlucky last week and finding this easier could have their measure.
Newcastle next best
Race 5: Stellina (5)
Showed enough before changing trainers to make her presence felt.
Around the tracks
Wagga best bet
Race 10: Nerano (4)
Draws to lead and that should see him get home.
Parkes best bet
Race 1: Sheza Rockstar (1)
Draws to lead, which is crucial at Parkes and won’t be for catching.
