Following on from two successful stakeholder meetings, where all clubs and participants were represented, Harness Racing South Australian (HRSA) and the South Australian Harness Racing Club have confirmed that there is an in-principle agreement for Racing to occur at Globe Derby Park for the next five years.
This announcement brings a level of stability and security to the industry, allowing for racing to continue at a venue that will be assured of meeting the highest industry safety and public standards.
SAHRC will remain responsible for the maintenance and security of the grounds while HRSA will ensure race numbers and associated programming logistics.
Additionally, HRSA has made a renewed commitment to all clubs to review racing agreements in order to ensure best practice, stimulate racing growth and reinforce the importance of collaboration within the industry. These agreements and commitments provide a clear and definitive way forwards for the industry, reflecting the new era of unity and the common goal we all share of strengthening racing in our state.
