THE FUTURE IS NOW
NEXT GENERATION THE FOCUS OF HRSA
Recently there has been public commentary on the future of race day venues. The HRSA board this week confirmed it will investigate all race day options available for the industry when the current lease expires at Globe Derby Park in 2022.
The focus will be on growing the sport for the benefit of all participants. There is also a strong need to bring new participants into the industry and this will also be the key focus of the board.
Harness Racing clubs will continue to form the foundation of the future and be encouraged to embrace their role in developing the industry, growing ownership, breeding, and training in their catchment areas.
No decisions have been made on race day venues and there will be opportunities for industry consultation as it is important for everyone to be involved, and understand the strategy, so everyone can embrace the future plans for harness racing.
