GROUP 1 winning pacer Castalong Shadow will be looking to bounce back into form at Bathurst tonight.
The Lithgow-trained entire has not graced the winners’ circle since January this year where he rated 1:55.3 and the 2017 Bathurst Gold Crown winner has not filled a place since that victory either.
However, tonight, Castalong Shadow has gained the best draw he has faced in recent runs and will start from barrier one in Race 5 (1730 metres).
This preparation the son of Shadow Play has had five starts and has began from the second row four times.
Castalong Shadow faces strong competition with the likes of former Menangle based pacer Scarlet Babe resuming for the Bernie Hewitt stable.
Also facing the likes of in-form horses Young Cambo and Myra Dawn.
