INTER Dominion winning horseman Darren Hancock will be back at Menangle today looking to secure another ‘trot’ win.
The Pheasants Nest mentor won at the world-class 1400 metre circuit last Saturday night when his talented trotter Drop The Hammer was victorious.
Rating the mile in a slick 1:55.7 seconds, Drop The Hammer secured win number 20 in his 57 starts, pushing his earnings to $212,285.
The pacing-bred squargaiter is raced by Glenn Holland who also owns Hancock’s other trotter Simone De Beauvoir that is racing today.
The mare is engaged in race two and is one of the main fancies following her runner-up effort to Muscle Hillbilly at Menangle last week.
Today’s first three races on the program are for the trotting gait.
