Stewards have today continued inquiries into the training of the registered standardbred horses MISS LEMON, TREASURE RAINBOW and JOONIOR BROWN whilst located in South Australia.
After considering the evidence taken from various licensed persons, Mr Nathan Jack and Part-owner Mr Cluse, Stewards could not be satisfied that since racing last Saturday night the horses had been in the care of a person currently licensed and properly appointed by trainer Amanda Turnbull, and ordered the withdrawal of the three horses from races at Globe Derby Park tomorrow night.
This morning a charge was issued against Mr Nathan Jack under Rule 91 part (1)(a) and part (2). The particulars of the charge were that; “Mr Jack when not the holder of a current licence had performed tasks including the feeding of horses in training, an activity regulated by licence, in regards to the three horses trained by Amanda Turnbull.” Mr Jack pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards adjourned the hearing and will announce a penalty at a future date.
Stewards have advised Miss Turnbull it is the intention to issue a charge against her under Rules 226 and 90A (2.10) (a) and (b).
