VENTURING into the training ranks has proven to be a success for top driver Jack Trainor.
The 26-year-old trained his first double at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Tuesday thanks to his horses Everysecondcounts and Chrissy Chic being victorious.
With a surname like his training horses is an omen and Trainor first dabbled in this part of the industry in 2014 when he only had four starters in his name.
He bounced back into training in September this year and set up his team at the Menangle Park Training Centre.
So far he has had 14 starters for four winners.
At Penrith tonight, however, Trainor will focus on his driving. In a purple patch of form having driven 10 winners in the past fortnight, Trainor will drive Get Ready To Rock (Race 1), Gangbuster (Race 3) and Navua Star (Race 4).
