When The Sneaky Fox, led all the way at Globe Derby, on Saturday, she became the third winner in 10 days to come out of the 2019 Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale.
The Sneaky Fox by Art Major out of the Falcon Seelster mare Cruiser Franco was offered at last years sale by Paul Cavallaro and Peter Sergi.
Her dam Cruser Franco was a high class racemare having been placed in the Group 3 NZ Breeders Stakes and runner up in the 2011 Group 1 NSW Ladyship Mile, she also claimed the listed Tenny Teeny Stakes at Menangle.
Cavallaro and Sergi purchased The Sneaky Fox, who was a weanling at the time, as a package deal from South East breeder David Flynn also in the package was Miss Iconic now a two time winner.
“We offered her for sale at the yearling sale, but unfortunately it was the day after my fall at Globe Derby and I was stuck in hospital and could not get there” Cavallaro said.
“So we put a syndicate together to race her and it looks like we might have a nice horse on our hands” he added.
The Sneaky Fox will now be heading to the $100,000 Group 1 The Allwood on March 14 providing she get through the heats next Saturday.
The Sneaky Fox joins Sheshell Rock, a winner at her first start at Bendigo and Globe Derby winner Northern Terror as the early winners to come out of last year’s sale.
This year’s Allwood Stud Farm SA Yearling Sale is just days away on Sunday March 15 commencing at 12.05pm with the Hygain Yearling parade at 10am.
It no doubt will once again be Australia’s greatest value sale with all 35 that will go through the ring being eligible for the Group 1 $100,000 2021 version of The Allwood.
