Lot 15 at the Allwood Stud South Australian Yearling Sales on Sunday March 15, to be held at Magic Millions complex at Morphettville, is by Changeover out of the Parsons Den mare Princess Steph, making this filly a half-sister to Downbytheseaside Mares Classic winner, White Star Stephie.
“This filly is typical of the family, a strong athletic type” said Shane Loone from White Star Lodge
“There are not many direct descendants of the Blue Hen broodmare Old Maid around these days, this filly carries her blood on the material side”, Loone added.
The fillies sire, Changeover, has been on fire recently having sired eleven winners throughout Australia and New Zealand during the last week of January.
Winners such as Platinum Revolution NZ, who made it six for six this season with her 1:55.1 effort at Newcastle, With The Band NZ, who is unbeaten since crossing the ditch at Albion Park (1:56.8) and Allwoods Treaty, a winner at Gloucester Park in a career-best 1:57.1.
Changeover also sired a treble at Geraldine NZ recently, with Lilac Change, Auchtercairn and La Bella Vita (1:57.5) and a double at Bathurst with the three-year-old The Mustang (1:56.8) and Kash Us Back (1:57.4).
Other recent Changeover winners have been Raani (1:56.9, Charlton), Presidentialchange (Stawell) and Dachy (1:56.1, Wyndham, NZ)
White Star Lodge has a draft of six yearlings catalogued for the March 15 sale. Other lots are Lot 6, a bay colt by millionaire pacer Highview Tommy out of Venus Lindenny, a Falcon Seelster mare, Lot 18, a colt by the unbeaten juvenile Goodtime Sammy out of Tillie Cheval, a colt by Smiling Shard out of French Fashion, a half-sister to Style Queen placed in the SA Sale Graduate Pace.
White Star Lodge has the final two lots to go under the hammer. Lot 34 is a filly by Julius Caesar out of Nowuseemestar and Lot 35, a colt by Highview Tommy out of Candy Crush. This colt is closely related to Group 1 winner Rohan Home.
The sale commences at 12.05pm and is preceded by the Hygain Yearling Parade at 10am.
