TWICE AS GOOD is this year’s recipient of the coveted Pacing Broodmare of Excellence Award announced last evening at the Dunstan Horse Feeds Breeders Cup Eve Cocktail Function in Christchurch. A five race winner who has left nine winners, seven in two minutes and four $100k winners.
NIAMEY was the recipient of this year’s Trotting Broodmare of Excellence Award. A non-winner, she has left eight winners to date, four in two minutes and all $100k winners.
2019 is the first year separate awards have been made to both pacing and trotting gaited broodmares (as opposed to one overall award).
