As announced recently, Harness Racing New Zealand is excited to announce the launch of our newly redesigned website which will happen on Wednesday 1 May 2019.
Following feedback from the industry, we wanted to move with the times and give our users a website with a clean new look, a fully responsive layout on all platforms and an overall better user experience.
A responsive design will transform itself meaning it will adjust itself to fit the device you are using. This means that you will no longer have to zoom in to read content on the website.
Our website analytics now show that almost half our or users are accessing the current website via their phones, and the new website will ensure a more efficient and cleaner delivery of information to those users on their cellphones.
Whilst the website will have a fresh new look and be easier to use on multiple devices, the information you receive will remain the same (with the added bonus of more Punter Information as mentioned in last week’s update).
The menu bar will remain in the same manner as the current HRNZ website, with the only difference being more streamlined menu content.
For example, the ‘News’ menu will take you to a dedicated news page. As mentioned in last week’s update the articles will now be categorized to allow for easier selection by category should readers wish to narrow down their search.
There is also now a dedicated menu for HRNZ official information, which makes finding official notices and forms much easier for users.
The menu bar will include the following sections and sub sections:
Racing – Racing Information/Racing Dates/Trainers and Drivers/ Major Races and Series Info/Horse Reports/Club Info/IRT Harness Jewels.
Infohorse – Trainer and Driver enquiry/Historical results/My HRNZ/Programme enquiry.
News – All news items including videos and podcasts, searchable by category.
Industry Information – Getting Started/Ownership/Education and Training/Amateur Driving/Media and Industry Links.
Official Information – About HRNZ/Resources/Forms/Health and Safety/HRNZ Policies.
Contact – HRNZ contact details
In a new feature the Racing Information menu (fields, nominations and results) will be available at the top of every page on the HRNZ website to allow for easy referral to this information regardless of where you are browsing on the website.
