Pepper Tree Farm is supporting the Jim Webb Fundraiser, giving a service to exciting young sire, Roll With Joe to be auctioned.
Mr Webb, a trainer, received serious spinal cord injuries several months ago when he was thrown from the sulky when working a horse at the Bankstown track and an auction and fund raising dinner are being held this week to raise funds to help support him and his family.
As Roll With Joe’s service book is already full and closed for the coming Southern Hemisphere season, this auction service represents the only remaining opportunity to secure a breeding to this hot young sire for this season and it is anticipated it will be hotly contested.
With his first crop 2YOs performing so well in North America and talk already buzzing about the upcoming 2YOs here in Australia, Roll With Joe’s book filled up some time ago with many breeders on a waiting list for any cancellations.
The 2011 USA 3YO of the Year, Meadowlands Pace winner Roll With Joe is a full brother to supersire, Bettor’s Delight being from the USA and Canadian Hall of Fame broodmare, Classic Wish who has produced three racetrack millionaires. In North America, Roll With Joe’s 2014 yearlings averaged five times his service fee at the Lexington and Harrisburg Yearling Sales and already he has 22 winners with 8 in 1:55 and over $710,000 in prizemoney.
Roll With Joe stands at leading NSW stud, Pepper Tree Farm alongside Rock N Roll Heaven – the current leading Australian 2YO Sire – and Sportswriter, the 2014 leading Australian 2YO Sire by winners.
The auction for the Roll With Joe service will close at 4pm on Friday 4 September . To enter a bid send an email to HRNSW’s Media Manager, Greg Hayes at ghayes@hrnsw.com.au
