While it’s evident that the Sydney sale this weekend is dominated in numbers of yearlings out of mares from New Zealand families (115 of them to be precise), I wouldn’t be ruling out all the 31 yearlings from the Australian and particularly some of the 47 from the North American families represented just yet.
While I acknowledge I’ve been down this road before, I believe it’s worth remembering the U30 clan has been our greatest performing family since it arrived in New Zealand back in 1904 – through a mare called Norice.
