On the 26 of January, Roll With Joe was credited with the first 2yo feature race of the year with Major Roll winning the group 3 Leeton breeders plate, and in doing so clocked a new 2yo track record with a mile rate of 1.58.3 and pacing his last quarter in 28.2.
An intriguing observation has been made by one of our followers in light of the upcoming, “The Allwood” taking place at the Magic Millions Sales Complex, Morphettville, SA on Sunday the 11 February, In relation to the Roll With Joe colt featured in the sale.
Major Roll has an interesting coincidence as 3 of Roll With Joe’s top 5 earners in Australia are from broodmare sires of Artsplace being IGNATIUS (G1) (Art Major) Arts Treasure(G1) (Perfect Art) and (G3) winner as well as a (G1) and (G2) 2yo placed filly I’m With Lexy (Grinfromeartoear), all sons of the great Artsplace. This show cases RollWith Joe’s ability to sire feature 2yo’s with this cross. And after the emphatic win in the Leeton Breeders Plate, Roll With Joe can now add Major Roll to that list of group winner’s
Lot 20, at The Allwood sale also follows this rich Vein as his broodmare sire is Grinfromeartoear the son of Arts place, and his family has a strong affiliation to Bettors Delight, Roll With Joe’s full brother. Highlighted by winners in the family such as Flamming Flutter (G1), Mark Dennis (G3), Windinherhair and the (G1) 2017 NZ 2yo pacing filly of the year Elle Mac all being sired by Bettors Delight. This all points towards a positive direction with this colt as a forward early going 2yo colt.
