AUSTRALIAN Pacing Gold graduate Ideal For Real is poised to make his highly-anticipated return tomorrow night.
Sidelined since his Breeders’ Crown triumph at Tabcorp Park Melton in August 2016, Ideal For Real will contest a Group Two for record-breaking trainer Emma Stewart.
The stallion was unbeaten from seven starts during his previous campaign, with his victories also including the Empire Stallions Vicbred Super Series Final.
Ideal For Real was expected to make a seamless transition to Grand Circuit company before suffering a fracture.
As for his return, Ideal For Real has drawn barrier two, with Stewart confident the rising star can complete a winning return.
“I’m very happy with him,” Stewart said. “He had good trial…a nice solid hit out.
“We’ve put a heap of work into him and you’ll see a pretty good horse coming out on Saturday night.
“From the draw he will just come out at his own tempo and see where he lands. He’s got a great turn of foot, so as long as not too far off them, they will know he is there.”
