While Kevin Pizzuto was busy drawing barrier one for the $1.1 million TABtouch Inter Dominion Final at yesterday’s barrier draw function for his star pacer Tiger Tara, the stallion’s close relative A Gs White Sox was making a name for himself on the grass track at Melton in New Zealand.
A G’s White Sox took out the $17,400 Methven Green Mile in a sensational 1:55.0 for driver Ricky May and trainer Greg Hope.
A G’s White Sox’s time shattered the previous Green Mile record held by Ohoka Dallas which won the race in 2011 in a time of 1:56.5.
A G’s White Sox is a 4yo son of Rock N Roll Heaven from the Sokys Atom mare Atomic Gold which makes him a half-brother to Tara Gold – the dam of Tiger Tara.
He is also a half-brother to Fremantle Cup winner Power Of Tara.
