The Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to another tidy 9 race program this Saturday night.
Gambling giant UBET are offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 First 4 pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.
The opening race has attracted an even field of 12 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET Pace over the distance of 2138m.
Last start winners include Stormfortheboys, Our Hi Jinx and Written In Red.
Others to consider include Applause, Bettabe Perfect, Clarkey, Jester Oh Jester and Munroe among others.
Interestingly, trainers Jack Butler, Grant Dixon, Ian Gurney and Chantal Turpin all have multiple runners engaged in the opening event.
Another highlight is race 8 on the program, the ‘Remembering Henry Luca’ Open Pace over the distance of 2138m.
Triple Queensland Horse of the Year Avonnova will be handled again by regular reinsman Shane Graham who has recently return from suspension; the free-legged star will be looking to bounce back following his recent shock defeats.
Key rivals include Majestic Major, Mister Mundaka, Amajorjo and Ideal Scott among others.
Henry Luca, trained and driven by Kevin Thomas (aka King of the Creek) proved to be a perennial performer at Albion Park during the mid-1980’s.
A winner of 47 races, Henry Luca won multiple features at Albion Park including the 1987 Commodore Championship defeating My Lightning Blue plus the 1987 4yo Championship and the 1986 Queensland Derby among others.
The $15,540 Kevin & Kay Seymour Rising Stars Championship also looks an extremely open affair following the barrier draw.
Heat winners on Tuesday were Outlaw Fella and Georgia Grace while others to be considered include Mandy Kriden, Major Moment, Anychance, Oceans Predator, Onedin Highlander, The Charging Moa and With Authority among others.
The Rising Stars Finals is listed as race 2 on the card – the opening leg of the UBET Quadrella.
A Quaddie jackpot of $10,000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.
UBET have also slated $1000 jackpot First 4 pools on races 3 through to 9.
