Connections of Australasia’s best pacers have only days before the nominations for the $1.8 Million TABtouch Inter Dominion Series close this Friday with the harness office of Racing and Wagering WA (RWWA).
So far, the 2017 series has drawn the best quality nominations for the three years that it has been conducted at Gloucester Park, headed by superstar pacer Lazarus and 2015 Inter Dominion Grand Final winner Lennytheshark, as the nominations continue to roll in.
During the week, Mark Purdon nominated star mare Our Dream About Me, adding to his nominations of Lazarus and Have Faith In Me.
Exciting pacer San Carlo for trainer Stephen O’Donoghue, which has won 17 of his 20 starts is the latest nomination, joining fellow Victorian Major Crocker, who will be travelling to Perth for his third successive Inter Dominion campaign. Inter Dominion winning trainer and Driver James Rattray has nominated comeback pacer and dual 2015 Inter Dominion heat winner Devendra as well as Dashofluck, while his brother Todd has nominated Pashacuti.
Locally, Ross Olivieri and Skye Bond have both nominated multiple runners for the series. The Olivieri team will be headed by promising duo Motu Premier for owner Merv Butterworth and Im Full Of Excuses, while Bond will have warhorse Our Jimmy Johnstone as her stable’s spearhead.
Nominations for the 2017 TABtouch Inter Dominion close with the offices of Racing and Wagering Western Australia by 4pm (WST) Friday, 8 September 2017. Conditions and nomination forms can be downloaded at www.perthinterdominion.com.au.
The TABtouch Inter Dominion will commence with the first set of heats on Friday 24 November, before travelling to Bunbury for the second set of heats on Tuesday 28 November. The third set of heats returns to Gloucester Park on Friday 1 December and the $1.1M Grand Final will be conducted on Friday 8 December.
