Winter has arrived and the carnival is looming.
The Albion Park Harness Racing Club will play host to a handy ten race program this Saturday night.
And there’s plenty of highlights throughout the program but none bigger than the appearance of millionaire pacer and multiple feature race winner Bling It On who resumes in the Listed $25,540 Lucky Creed Open Pace over the marathon distance of 2680m.
His rivals include triple Queensland Horse of the Year Avonova plus Hokonui Ben, Alleluia, Ideal Scott and Joys A Babe among others.
The opening race has attracted an even field of 12 pacers with several in-form runners set to contest the UBET Pace over the 1660m.
Gambling giant UBET are offering several jackpots throughout the program including a guaranteed $50,000 First 4 pool on the opening race plus a $10,000 jackpot.
Last start Redcliffe Gold Cup winner Kept Under Wraps will be aiming to maintain his brilliant form and will command plenty of respect but last start Albion Park victor Feel The Courage is chasing another victory at headquarters.
Others to consider include Bring On Lefty, Lancelot Bromac, Lamorak, Likeallofus and Tijuana Bromac.
Former world driving champion Mark Jones has arrived from Christchurch and will have his pair of talented performers in action, star three-year-old filly Delightful Memphis starts in the final event while last start winner Kowhai Monarch starts in the trotter’s handicap.
The $15,540 Kevin & Kay Seymour Rising Stars Championship also looks an extremely open affair following the barrier draw.
Heat winners on Tuesday were With Authority and Top Trio while others to be considered include The Charging Moa, Chapter One, Master Dip and Takalookatmenow.
The Rising Stars Finals is listed as race 2 on the card.
A Quadrella jackpot of $5000 is also slated; the quaddie will be staged on races 2, 3, 4 & 5.
UBET have also slated $1000 jackpot First 4 pools on races 3 through to 10.
