RAMPAGING trotter Aldebaran Ten is expected to have no trouble extending his winning streak at Globe Derby on Saturday night.

Successful at his last five starts, Aldebaran Ten will begin from a 10-metre handicap for trainer Ryan Hryhorec.

The son of Aldebaran Yankee came from the same mark to beat a similar field earlier this week.

“He is low flying at the moment,” Hryhorec said. “He’s done a great job since we bought him last July. He’s won about 10 races for us, including going over to Victoria to pick up his Vicbred bonus.

“This time in he has just taken it to a new level and is in remarkable form. A month ago he was a T1, now he is T5.

“I can’t see any reason why he can’t keep his streak going on the weekend.”

With Aldebaran Ten on the market, Hryhorec is keeping his plans for the gelding short term as he awaits a possible sale.

“He is up for sale as I believe he will be handicapped out of racing here soon,” Hryhorec said. “For now I will just keep racing him week-to-week and see what unfolds.

“If he doesn’t sell by the time he is facing big handicaps, we might just send him over to Victoria for a while.”
