It’s never been more attractive to own the moment with Cranbourne Trots opening its doors and turning on its taps for trots owners.
On Saturday night, which features the Bruce Skeggs Memorial Cranbourne Trotters Cup, Cranbourne will host an Owners and Industry Night, gifting free finger food and drinks from 6-10pm to encourage owners to get trackside.
Club racing manager Cameron Gallagher said the celebration was driven by the club’s “want to attract more owners to our race nights”.
“We recently spent $4 million on our new grandstand and have some of the best facilities going around in the state and want more owners on track to enjoy it,” Mr Gallagher said.
“You don’t have to have a horse racing, if you are an owner you’re invited.”
To be hosted by prominent owner, trots advocate and sponsor Michael Taranto, owners will not only be able to soak up the free fare and beer, wine and soft drink, but will be able to enjoy some great on-track entertainment featuring an eight-race card including a $20,000 Group 3 feature.
“It’s a Saturday night, there is good racing on including a Group 3 trot,” Mr Gallagher said. “We think it’s a really good night to showcase the venue.”
The club will also host the Girls Night Out, a fundraiser for the Women’s Cancer Foundation, and Mr Gallagher said the atmosphere should be great with “the venue close to full”.
The Owners and Industry Night will be held in the committee room at the club. For more details, email cgallagher@cranbourneturfclub.com.au or 5996 1300.
