All is in readiness for the annual Garrards Redcliffe Yearling Sale this weekend.
The sale takes place this Sunday at the Redcliffe Paceway with the sale commencing at 11am sharp.
Now in its 10th year, the sale has evolved at a rapid rate featuring the best stallions and a quality broodmare list including a previous winner of the race series in Cha Ching Chaching.
The catalogue features 122 quality colts, gelding and fillies with pedigrees and some pictures available via www.darrenebertauctioneer.co.au
“It’s not our biggest catalogue but it’s clearly our best catalogue, we’re absolutely thrilled with the quality on offer this year. All the great stallions are represented while the broodmare list is excellent with some regally bred and well performed racemares also represented.” Auctioneer Darren Ebert said.
Champion sires represented include;
• Art Major
• Bettors Delight
• Christian Cullen
• Mach Three
• Rock N Roll Heaven
• Cammibest
And many more emerging stallions are also represented.
Most importantly, only sales graduates are eligible for the 2018 2YO Redcliffe Sale Race Classic and the 2019 3YO Classic – minimum prizemoney will be $100,000 while the bulk of the yearlings on offer are eligible for the lucrative QBRED incentive scheme.
“Like the sales itself, the race series has also come along way too and the prizemoney is quite remarkable and something that all involved with the series is very proud of because it stacks up very well with any other series around the country.
“Early indications are solid despite the fact the recent Australian Pacing Gold Yearling Sales seemed a little patchy. The request for catalogues has been strong while information via the phone and web has also been very good.
“As always with our annual bus trip to Burwood Stud, the vibe was good and we had about 40 people on that trip keen to inspect the yearlings and I know Noel and Christine Denning were buoyed by the interest that day. Hopefully that transfers to a strong sale which will have me working hard with the gavel.”
Star performer and recent Menangle winner Leos Best (21 wins – $290k) is a graduate of the sale.
There is no upset price and all bids will be accepted.
All bidders need to be registered.
