A TOTAL of 130 nominations have been received for the 2017 Bathurst Gold Crown Yearling Sale to be conducted by Graeme Board and Company on Sunday, March 19 at the Bathurst Showground.
To be held during the Bathurst Gold Crown Carnival, the sale has attracted entries from vendors in Victoria, New South Wales, Canberra, South Australia and Western Australia.
Thirty-six different sires are featured in the catalogue with the 1:49 Artsplace horse Shoobee’s Place, who is represented by his first crop, having the largest entry with 13 lots.
Pet Rock (8 lots) and A Rocknroll Dance (4), a pair of Rocknroll Hanover stallions, and the colonial breds Caribbean Blaster (10) and Alta Christiano (6) are other rookie sires at the sale.
Established sires with multiple entries include Sportswriter (11), Art Major (7), Million Dollar Cam (7), Lombo Pocket Watch (6), Four Starzzz Shark (4), Mr Feelgood (4), Rock N Roll Heaven (3), Grinfromeartoear (3), Western Terror (3), Always A Virgin (3), Roll With Joe (2), Shadow Play (2) and Modern Art (2).
Yearlings nominated are eligible for the Breeders Crown, NSW Breeders Challenge, NSW Breeders Blue Series, Bathurst Gold Crown, Vicbred and Vicbred Platinum.
