1Yirribee Pacing Stud was established in 1985 by Rod Woodhouse and the late Ian Walsh. It was officially opened in 1986. Today Yirribee celebrates 30 years in the breeding industry.

Situated near Wagga Wagga, New South Wales on the banks of the rich Murrumbidgee River and comprising 400 acres of rich pasture, Yirrabee has become a leader in the standardbred breeding industry.

In 1986 Woodhouse and Walsh, purchased American stallion, Jeremy Lobell, as its foundation sire. Jeremy Lobell sired over 250 individual winners. His progeny have won in excess of A$6.7 million in prize money.

Jeremy Lobell is the sire of  multiple Group One winner, Jofess, who was the winner of the 2004 Inter Dominion Pacing Championship (G1), the 2002 Victoria Cup (G1) and the 2002 Treuer Memorial (G1).
