Well related broodmare Bute Sister, progeny had a great weekend on the racetrack.
Three-year-old filly Be Nice Huther (by Badlands Hanover) scored at Newcastle in 1.55.5 on Saturday night while the previous night at Addington, Shillelagh a four-year-old by Arts Official came from second last down the back to snatch victory in 1.57.6.

Badlands Bute was the 2004/05 New Zealand Three-Year-Old Pacer of the Year following his success that season in both of the season’s prestige Group 1 classics – the New Zealand and Great Northern Derbies.
He was the winner of 13 races and $340,357 after costing his owners, John Street and Graeme Blackburn $33,000 at the 2003 Inter Dominion Yearling Sale.
Bute Sister has had five foals of racing age four are winners, Bute Falcon (by Falcon Steelster) won 4 races now at stud, Bute Courage (Courage Under Fire) 4 wins to date, Shillelagh win on Friday was his third while Be Nice Huther won her first race from just four starts and looks to have a bright future.
