In what can only be a good for the industry- The Garrards Horse & Hound Redcliffe Yearling Sales Series final looks like developing into an exciting climax on June 3, after the three 2 year old heats were held on Wednesday.
Heat one went to Cammibest gelding Lucifers Legend for trainer/ driver Edd Bailey.
Lucifers Legend was knocked down for just $3500 at the 2015 Yearling sale, beat Changeover colt Changeoverme (a $17,000 purchase) and Nicky Mattgregory (by ill-fated sire Rob Roy Mattgregor, who was a $3,750 purchase)
Heat two was taken out Heart of Change, a filly by Nevele R stallion Changeover who was a $7,000 buy back at the 2015 sale.
Changeover has we now was a outstanding racehorse winning 16 group and listed races including six at Group 1 level.
In the stallion barn he is starting to leave his stamp on his sons & daughters including Run Oneover ($180,573) and star WA mare $132,449.
January ($5,000) another of the Cammibest stock was successful in heat three.
Cammibest a millionaire son of Cambest- a Cam Fella line stallion stands at Noel and Christine Dennings Burwood Stud,
Cammibest has an amazing winner to runner ratio having sired 60 winners from 98 starters.
The $80,000 Yearling Sale Final has over the years grown into one of Queensland richest juvenile races.
