Despite being left facing the breeze for most of the race the gelding proved too strong for his rivals, winning two metres clear of Melolynwith race leader Crusader Acey a close-up third.
Mister Lennox is trained by Juanita McKenzie ran a mile rate of 1.56.53 over the 1680-metre trip which was close to the record of 1.55 set by his stablemate Queens Advocate in the Launceston Mile earlier this year.
In winning Mister Lennox claimed his thirteenth victory from just 25 starts and is now likely to tackle the four and five year old championship at Melton.
Mister Lennox is no stranger to Tabcorp Park Melton having finished a credible fourth to Mein Gate and Follow The Stars in the three year old Breeders Crown Final last season.
With the $100,000 stakemoney within his sights Mister Lennox (currently $94,161) is fast developing into one of Changeover best progeny only the Gary Hall trained pair Runoneover $161,253 and star mare Nuala $132,449 have won more prize money than him.
