It’s hard to fathom why TasRacing would run two sets of Sales Graduate races one for Fillies and the other for colts and geldings for $10,000 prizemoney each rather than combining the two races and making it a $20,000 with a preferential sex based draw.
Both had only 3 acceptors and the fillies race was reduced to just two with a scratching.
Surely a combine race would boost all important turnover and give all owners the chance to race for more money.
Exciting 3 year old Ryley Major won the colts and geldings while TisuBombelle a daughter of Mister Big won the fillies division.
Ryley Major is eligible for the rich Vicbred Super Series and the Tasbred Sires Series ,trainer Rohan Hillier has to pick which series is best for the youngster.
A son of Art Major, Ryley Major is out of Hillier’s former star filly ShezRyleymak, which captured the 2008 Two-Year-Old Vicbred Final at Moonee Valley when driven by Gavin Lang.
